Synopsis

After a shipwreck, an intelligent robot named Roz is stranded on an uninhabited island

To survive in the harsh environment, Roz befriends the island’s animals and cares for an orphaned baby goose. Lupita Nyong’o talks to screenwriter and director Chris Sanders about their key roles and their time together making “The Wild Robot.” According to writer Peter Brown, the inspiration for “The Wild Robot” came from a sketch he made of a robot in a tree. He then asked the question, “What would an intelligent robot do in the wild?” As the fox enters the cabin, a moose grunts near the door, but the sound effect used is a recording of a bear. Rose: [from the trailer] Sometimes you have to become more than you were programmed to be in order to survive.

The story was so beautiful, so soulful and touching, I cried three times

It’s one of those movies that really affects you, and you leave the theater feeling completely changed. It was a beautiful story about found family, unexpected bonds, and the beauty of motherhood. I’m currently reading the book and can’t wait for the rest of the world to see this wonderful film. Not to mention, the animation is so adorable, especially Brightbill, that you’ll be stifling a coo every few minutes.

I absolutely love this film and can’t wait to watch it again
