I enjoyed the deep conversations about myths, choices and uncomfortable topics like polygamy and Mormon underwear. Grant seemed to enjoy the atypical role of playing a “bad guy.” She was well cast alongside Chloe East and Sophie Thatcher, who were also at the premiere, as they all seemed to be acting on instinct and from the heart.

East and Thatcher were once Mormons themselves, and Grant associated himself with certain aspects of Mr. Reed. “I found him,” she said of Grant’s character’s views on religion that “we had a lot in common.” No wonder they were so good.
